Google Pixel 10 or Samsung Galaxy S25: Which One Should You Buy?

You will be spending your hard-earned 800 bucks on any one of the two. To get the best value for your money, which one should you go for? Read on to find out.

Google just started shipping its Pixel 10 series, which has received mixed reviews on Reddit. I got my hands on my shipment two days ago, and I have been testing it out since then.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S25 has been around for almost eight months now, and I was using it until my Pixel 10 arrived. So, I have a pretty comprehensive idea of how both these devices function.

Now, I am guessing that you want to make a decision to choose the best of both.

Let me share my experience, so that you can make the best decision.

Google Pixel 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S25: The Performance

Starting with the Pixel, it is powered by the latest made-by-TSMC Tensor G5 that is based on 3nm architecture. It was quite a hyped upgrade over the Pixel 9’s Tensor G4, but did it live up to the hype?

If I compare it to the Pixel 9, then it is an upgrade, but if I compare it to the Galaxy S25, then, surely, no.

When you use the Pixel 10 for normal day-to-day tasks like taking pictures, watching videos, and replying to emails, it won’t slow down. But once you stress it out, the processor is not par to the Galaxy S25, especially when gaming. Even with a high-tiered internet plan from Spectrum, which their  customer service assured me was right for data-intensive online activities, the Pixel 10 was struggling to hold up with PUBG Mobile gaming sessions at the best graphics and framerate settings.

On the flip side, Samsung Galaxy S25 is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, that, too, based on 3nm architecture from Qualcomm. Not only is this Snapdragon powerful, it is also custom-made for the Galaxy. How does it perform in real life?

Well, whether it is intensive gaming or regular tasks, it does it all like a breeze. You are going to have absolutely no problems in terms of performance with the S25. So, if performance is your concern, then the Pixel 10 might not be the right choice.

Google Pixel 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S25: The Cameras

Pixel is known for its cameras, so does the Pixel 10 hold up with that image?

Well, yeah! It is still one of the best camera systems out of any Android, and this year, especially because Google has added another camera lens to the Pixel 10 – a telephoto lens. Last year’s Pixel 9 had just a main shooter and an ultrawide lens. Well, it is not the same anymore, and it is more comparable to the Galaxy S25.

How much does it make a difference? Well, a lot.

First of all, Pixel already had great cameras, and now it is even better when coupled with a few AI tricks. It takes great photos and videos. When compared to the Galaxy S25, it is still better than that, especially in the department of stills. As for the videos, Galaxy S25 edges out a bit.

Samsung has a similar camera system to that of the Pixel 10, but the photos lack a bit of color. Pixel is great at computational photography, and once the pictures are saved into your gallery, it makes a lot of difference. However, as I mentioned earlier, Galaxy S25 is better at taking videos, and this is the only advantage over Pixel 10’s cameras.

Anyway, if cameras were my priority, I would definitely choose the Pixel 10.

Google Pixel 10 vs. Samsung Galaxy S25: The Display and the Battery Experience

Display is the part of your phone that you will see the most, so it better be great. Which one of them is great?

Overall, Samsung has a better display: it is a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display that clocks between 1 to 120Hz, so it is an LTPO display. On top of that, it has 480Hz PWM, for which, in simple words, you won’t feel pain in your eyes if you are going to use your phone for a longer period. Another impressive thing about the Galaxy S25 is its screen-to-body ratio. It is over 91% which makes the bezels even thinner.

Pixel 10 has a 6.3-inch OLED screen, which clocks between 60 to 120Hz, so it is not an LTPO display. Moreover, it doesn’t have that 480Hz PWM. The aspect where it is better than the Galaxy S25 is its brightness. It gets much brighter than the Galaxy S25. You won’t have any problems even in the harshest of sunlight, which you might not have with the Galaxy S25.

Last but not least, you might not have expected this, but Pixel has a better battery experience than the Galaxy S25. First of all, it is almost a 5000mAh battery as compared to the 4000mAh of the Galaxy S25, and it charges at 30W as compared to the 25W of the S25. So, if that is your concern Pixel 10 will last more years without needing to change the battery.

Let me address the elephant in the room: which one is better? Well, it is a tie for me, but if performance and display are your concern, and you don’t mind charging your phone midday, then the Galaxy S25 is better. If camera and battery are your concern, then Pixel is your game.
